Pangya, a popular cute golf-simulation based game, is another latest MMO remade for a portable system beside the Ragnarok DSi. The Pangya online service in the Brazil, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines & China  have recently ceased all its operations, mostly due to low popularity. So this Pangya game in PSP, would again reborn the Pangster spirits and relive the good times they’ve had in Pangya in another dimension. Pangya Fantasy Golf has just been released on Jun 23, 2009 in US territory. Here’s some important details after the break that you might want to check, especially when you are one of those Pangya fans.

Pangya Fantasy Golf Features

• Play with up to seven friends via ad hoc on any of the nine courses.
• As you progress through each of their storylines, you’ll unlock up to 18 playable characters
• You can easily spend more than 70 hours building up your characters and collecting accessories and items
• You’ll earn pang (in-game currency) for playing and given bonus cash for special performances.
• There’s Story mode, which follows different storyline through the eyes of multiple characters
• And Pangya Tour mode, in which you can compete in tournaments for prizes.

They mentioned ad hoc multiplayer but the psp’s online infrastructure seems missing in their announcement. Can we call this a case of negligence on their part, Pangsters?

Ragnarok is dead? Nope, I just see dead pixels. The old Ragnarok  is maybe dead but there’s a direct sequel of the Ragnarok in amazing 3d glory officially named, Ragnarok Online 2: The Gate of the World. There’s no official annoucement yet of the release date of the new version but I must say kill the pixelized Ragnarok now! (no offense to ragnaveterans reading at this moment )

There’s another Ragnarok spin-off game exclusively for the Nintendo DS which was just released in Japan last December 2008. Ragnarok Online DS is a game based on the MMORPG however its massively features in the the original will not be present in this version^, but will support up to three players simultaneously in a variety of multi-player dungeons. The game will also be ported to US in Winter 2009.

There will be a storyline throughout the game, in which you take the role of Ales, a novice, and choose how he will develop as the game progresses. Throughout the game, you will be accompanied by Sierra, a shaman class, who will help you out during battles. Later in the game, you will have certain characters join your party for a time, such as;

Lucifi: A Swordsman class (On the right)

Viselc: A Thief class (Bottom left)

Lisir: A Mage class (Top left)

Ales will be able to change into any of the 1st class job characters as in Ragnarok Online and will be able to obtain 2nd class job at job level 40-50. – wikipedia.org
