Dragon Ball Universe goes Online MMORPG with Trailer Video & Concept Art

Dragon Ball is one of the most popular manga series of its time and its electronic fighting games have been very successful in any medium, from arcade machines…to gaming consoles…and to portable system. So this year, Akira Toriyama, the illustrator of Dragon Ball, will evolve his series to the next level as high as Super Saiyan, which is bring it to the MMO universe. Your main quest is to search for the seven Dragon Balls and train to compete in the Tenkaichi Budokai, aspiring to become like the warriors of legend.

racesDragon Ball Playable Races and Classes

Human

  • Martial Artist  – martial art fighters, like Yamcha and Krillin.
  • Spiritualist  – Mystics with spiritual techniques, like Chaozu and Tien.
  • Engineer  – Mechanics/ inventors who build technological weapons, much like Bulma.

Namekian

  • Dragon Clan – Healers of of the Namekian class, such as Dende.
  • Warrior – Warriors of the Namekian class, which includes Piccolo and Nail.

Majin

  • Strange Majin  – Slender, evil-looking Majin who looks like Majin Buu’s original, pure form.
  • Large Majin – Fat, happy-looking Majin who resembles Majin Buu’s good form.

The Map & Environments
This is the initial map you might encounter on your first adventure but expect its lush environments to be faithful to the original source. But i’m not sure if  there will be terrain deformation or destructible environment while players are fighting.

Skill Abilities and the Kamehameha
Players will be able to obtain money and experience which will allow them to level up and obtain new abilities, such as HTB skills & chain attacks. As in most MMORPGs, you can test the strength and power of your character by joining them to the PvP arena. Expect to be blinded and wounded by the Kamehameha explosions unleashed by the Super Saiyans.

Back to the Future
It is speculated that players may also be able to participate in “Timemachine Missions”, in which they will receive guidance from Time Patrol Trunks,  AKA Future Trunks, in order to travel back in time and take part in notable aspects of the Dragon Ball history. This time-travel concept may revolutionize the entire MMO culture, i’m predicting the time-travel-based RPG will be the next big thing soon!
