Giant Interactive Anticipates Largest Pack of ZT Online

SHANGHAI, May 27, 2009  — Chinese online game developer and operator Giant Interactive Group Inc. will launch an open beta test of the largest expansion pack of ZT Online in July 2009, the chairman and CEO Shi Yuzhu announces.

Shi says that players have become accustomed to the new billing system and added functions of ZT Online, Giant Interactive’s flagship game, in accordance with the company’s first-quarter fiscal report.

In the first and second quarters, Giant Interactive is dedicated to the development of new game products. Shi believes that further adjustments of the MMORPG will help lengthen the game’s lifecycle.

Currently, Giant Interactive is simultaneously developing seven games. King of Kings III started a closed beta test at the end of the first quarter, and ZT Online II will be launched in the second half of 2009.

ZT Online is a proprietary 2D MMORPG designed by Giant Interactive. The company has released several expansion packs of the game since 2005. On April 28, 2008, ZT Online recorded concurrent players of 2.1 million.
