Brandon Routh, widely recognized for playing the titular hero in 2006 film Superman Returns, recently attended the San Diego Comic-Con and just like the hottie Megan Fox, he has proved his geek cred during an interview with MTV Splash Page’s Rick Marshall. He has revealed that he’s a true-blooded gamer and even plays the undisputed MMO king “World of Warcraft”. Brandon is apparently excited about the upcoming movie adaptation helmed by Sam Raimi and might look forward to join the cast as long as there’s kick-ass sword fighting. Check out the MTV interview video after the jump.
Though his “Superman Returns” movie didn’t do well at the box office, his performance as the man of steel is at par with the iconic Christopher Reeves. I’ve also seen his comedy movie “Zack and Miri Make a Porno” and i think he’s fairly decent character actor. If he’s looking for a menacing role with a sword, he can perfectly play the character of Arthas Menethil, the crowned prince of Lordaeron who later became one of the most powerful and evil beings Azeroth would ever experience when he merged with the Lich King. Brandon can now throw away his super cape and pull out the sword of Frostmourne. Hail to the king, baby!

Makeup can do wonders if you hire a great makeup crew or CG crew. Routh would do well as the pre-evil and with either CG makeup or makeup crews he then can do the evil arthas.
We all know Warcraft Movie will be CG extensive, Night Elves will not be played by people with blue or purple paint on, it’ll use the new advanced facial motion caption technology and map a CG Night Elf on the face of the actor, like how they did Two Face on The Dark Knight. Same goes for orcs, trolls, taurens, etc.
But for arthas Make-up is good enough.

he looks too small and too young to play Arthas.. i think clooney or bale would be better suited.. maybe Routh could be…uhmm… Edwin Vancleef? haha!
